I thought we already had a thread for this, but I can't find it...

Just bought new shoes for the "kids". Colt Govt. and Springfield Range Officer. Cocobolo and Ink Berry. [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i856.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab130\/cubldr\/DSCN0201_zpshlmyihov.jpg"}[/IMG2]

I used to have one of these. Gave $400 for it 10 years ago. I wish I had it back, I didn't know any better at the time. Of course I more than doubled my money on it when I sold it. Ive never seen another one since

I may have one or 2 more, but I don't remember. :D

Nothing special but I put it together myself and it goes bang every time.

As much trouble as I had just trying to fit a new thumb safety this afternoon, I'd say that's an accomplishment.

I have many but this colt is my favorite, the guy who sold it to me has tried to buy it back several times but I'll never sell

My Springfield MC Operator, was one of the first runs made supposedly built on the Professional Shop Line. I've done a bit of changes to it since I got it. AAC grips that your'e not suppose to be able to get, magwell MSH, flat trigger. The sear and hammer I ran through a stoning jig. She's a shooter, but this is the one that I'd never want to get rid of unless I was offered stupid money for it.

Im drooling over that Kimber Warrior and Sig Fastback. Very Nice!

I won't repost all of mine from the other day. The first photo is one I just picked up in a trade recently so it didn't make it in the other post.

The second photo are my two favorites

I have owned several 1911s over the years. Mostly Colts. But recently I have found that Ruger and Sig Sauer make excellent 1911s for the money. Maybe not quite the fit and finish of the Colts, but REAL CLOSE!

I recently picked up a Sig Sauer 1911 Carry Stainless. Very pleased with the fit & finish, but haven't shot it yet. Hope to this weekend. Bought it from a forum member friend. He found it at a gun shop recently. It is a new old-stock (2012-2013) that had been overlooked in their inventory. The Carry Stainless is no longer offered by Sig.

Here's a couple of my Colts. First is a 1974 Commander. This one was freshened up by a retired machinist and gunsmith in Charleston several years ago. Notice how the rear sight is fitted low down into the slide. This was done years before the big name builders started doing it. It is amazingly accurate.

Moving forward 10 years is a transitional Series 80. Made in 1984 it is a Series 80 but still has the collet bushing.

Nice family you have there.

These are my last 2 1911s. I've let most of the others go because, well, I cannot shoot single worth a damn. More of a double action revolver guy. Keeping these.

The Kimber is a Tactical Ultra Carry II. I've carried it a lot, but not recently. It is light and super reliable. A 3" 1911 is a good thing to have in the carry rotation. It is wearing slim grips from a Kimber RCP.

The Colt is a Wiley Clap CCO. It has an aluminum frame, commander length slide, and officer length grip. It conceals very well. I bought this mainly due to concern that Colt was in such bad financial shape that it might be the last opportunity (Dec. 2015) to buy a new quality Colt 1911. It seems that Colt's situation has improved. Also, I think that every collection / accumulation has room for a Colt 1911.

YES..A Tucker HF1.. great driving holster..

I have the Answer for my ECO. So much better built than the other holsters I have. Need to get a nice Tucker OWB for my Baer I think. They would fit well together.

Bought more new shoes for the kids. I'm like Imelda Marcos with a stolen credit card.

New English Walnut grips.

1911 'outfitting' can almost make a straight man gay, Ask me how I know,

It's not "outfitting". It's called "accessorizing". Why do you think AR15's are so popular?
