A couple of nice 1911s--hard to go wrong with a SACS Pro or DW Valor.
Thanks! I waited for the Pro for a long time! Can't wait to shoot her....

A Series 80 Government Model that I rescued several years ago. It's a transition model gun, it has the Series 80 safety in the slide but still has the collet bushing.

A Colt Combat Commander that I got from a friend. He bought it new in 1972 and had another friend tune it up a little. The slide was milled for the sight and the gun was hard chromed. I'm no expert but this is the most accurate 1911 style gun that I've ever fired.

I only have one full size 1911... 1961 Colt Sistema, resurrected by Tuner. It's been reblued & the trigger changed since this pic. This'n choots real well!

The rest o' me own 1911s are Commanders. Here's a Colt LW Commander with 24/7 sights.

I assume therapy might cure this addiction?
I tried therapy but it didn't help. I have bought several since . GSG 22 ,Rock Island Tactical 10mm, S&W performance Center 45. I have figured that It is a sickness that I guess I will carry deep inside till I go to that Great Gun shop in the sky ! ;)

New acquisition. Kimber Tactical Entry II.

Of course you wanna dick with it and "make it yours". but I will tell ya…magwell, checkering, ambi safety, decent sights….I kinda like it as is. I usually change over to the VZ operators on my 1911's…but I really like these grey laminate wood grips.

Could it be…. THE PERFECT 1911?!?!?!?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

It ain't a Les Baer or Wilson Combat….but ya know.

Really like the grips on the springfield, changed the whole look of the gun from the original grips
I actually have these English walnut grips on it these days. I think @MacEntyre is the proud owner of those inkberry grips now.

357 magnum Coonan.....didn't really need it but used/new never shot. 1911????View attachment 2752

We now have two in this thread. Unless I missed some. So many nice 1911s in here. This is a nice shooting pistol. My 16 year old son can shoot the crap out of this pistol.

I haven't shot mine yet. Been too busy working/teaching at a local range. I have since left, but trying to catch up on some reload testing for 45 70. At one point I was going to sell because this is my only 357. Just not sure what I am going to do. It has never been shot, so until I decide what to do, I won't shoot it.

It's a sweet shooting pistol. Trust me. Just don't run anything through it that is lighter than 180 grain unless you switch out the recoil spring to one designed for .38.

Edit: To clarify my comment above, that was meant for factory loads, not hand loads. My experience with this pistol has been that factory loads with bullet weights less than 180 gr. I have cycling issues. Not too bad with 158 gr. but bad enough. Less than that is really bad. It likes heavy factory ammunition. I don't hand load personally but I'd imagine this problem could be overcome with good hand loads.
