Post your Coffee cup...

My mother's been a potter for decades and has a few kilns. Tell your wife those cups are original and look great. How much are those?
She retails them at $45.

Her shop is in Bear Creek, 145 Tall Pines Trail off of old 421 just outside of Goldstone.

thats effing disgusting...

did someone $h*t in your mugs?
He works in an ER. His disgust sensitivity is calibrated very differently than most folks, undoubtedly due to the things I can only imagine that he's encountered.

I worked in a hotel back when I was in HS. I encountered some nasty things, but I think an ER would be far, far, worse.

Without routine washing of said mugs, I'm certain there's poo in those cups. That's not necessarily what should concern you, it's all the other microbes that produce endotoxin that you can't remove. Not saying it is an issue with the average American, because our diets have so many things in them now to counter all these little bugs, but if I were older, I wouldn't want to knowingly play dysentery roulette.

I bet you’re a hoot at parties .....

:D

There's probably poo in that dip....
A friend of friend of mine did some work at a Land-O-Lakes milk processing plant. He saw the analysis reports showing X amount of hair, rat turds, and other delightful DNA samples. He never ate their products again. If people only knew what was in their food, or thought about how (plant or animal) it's basically raised, grown, or wallowed in shart.

Exactly. If you ever plan on eating somewhere, don't work there. You'll see just how nasty a place really is. Anything that involves people is going to be inherently filthy. Just try getting adults to wash their hands regularly is a challenge, and your hands go everywhere. While the levels may be within acceptable FDA regulations, not everyone responds the same to every type of bacterium.

It's always interesting seeing the speciation of microbes where I work, because we get to see some pretty nasty shit.

People these days are entirely too queasy about what they eat. They need to wise up. Even, and especially, Vegans.

Because plants...grown "organically"? Yeah, grown in dirt fertilized by animal and insect feces. Or, in the case of river valleys (the most fertile lands on the planet), fish sh*t from all the floods.

Fish? Yeah, swimming around in their own p*ss, when you think about it.

We eat animals...that used to be walking around, eating all kinds of other stuff...from other animals, plants, insects, fish...all growing in a seething, healthy biosphere full of sh*t and p*ss.

If the world were sterile...we wouldn't be in it.

I cracked up the first time I saw one.
If you'd like one, I sell them. If it was my $ I'd buy a Patterson or Rite-Hite. I've a customer in Moncure with a large one NIB they decided to not install that they'd love to sell.
Any idea which model they want to unload?

Despite having microbiology in undergrad and grad school, I am no microbiologist. But, I have had cholera* and giardia. Whatever is in my mug needs to be scared of me, not me of it.

*I was vaccinated

Oh, I certainly hope not. Now THAT would be nasty.

FWIW, I'm the only one who drinks from that mug. It works for me.
yes, thats cool. and fwiw, I hope you know I was just having fun giving you some grief.

(but the $h*t stains really do not add flavor, unless they are truly stains from $h*t...)

(yes, I know the adds flavor quips are meant mainly in jest)

plants that produce dairy are the absolute worst... If you were to see how ice cream is made and packaged, you would literally vomit at the thought of eating ice cream...

I'm just giving you all shit, I know we are exposed to many nasty bugs every day. It's not those that you have to worry about, it's the one in a million, lottery winner of the micro world we should be concerned about. It's unlikely that we'll encounter them (not if the democrats have their way and we get more illegals) but it's better to be safe than sorry. Also refer to the new polio-like virus and the outbreak at the NJ children's hospital for reasons why to be aseptically minded.

But at least it'll keep others from using your cup.
