Post Your Furry Friends...

He always gets love, and he gives. He's like our child too. I'm all torn up inside. Thanx for the info, but Max won't be fond of any pool. Lol. He hates getting wet.
Man I know how ruff it is the other half and I were really down when we found out about our baby girl, it's hard,
then she came home, had a cone around her head, a little pink lower half like jump suit, that buttoned up, we waited
on her hand n foot, she liked to jump up on the bed, couch, and that look was the hardest part, then being caged.
Looking back it was hard, really hard, and seeing the results looking forward, says it all, her running, zoomiez, with
her rescue brother Gherico is all worth it.
Yeah Marley ain't to keen on water either other than drink it from hose, or bowl. She doesn't even like to go out in
the rain, unless she really has to, then she comes in wants / demands to be "toweled" off then jumps on couch / bed
starts acting crazy, rolling around, growling / barking, just nuts. Front and rear legs kicking out everywhere.
But to see her in that little pool walking on that little treadmill, that look, she was happy. She was walking, Like look
mom, look dad I'm okay.

Max will be fine, its hard, for sure, when you seeing him running and being himself or better its worth it all.

I appreciate the kind words of support and the heads up about what's in the future for us(and him). You have my gratitude my friend.

Your more than welcone, spoke to the other half, about it. She said "tell them they can call me anytime and I can help" , them through it, we went through it 2x. She means it. We are all about helping where we can, and our pets ( family members ) come first. Its not a bother or anything, its called support and looking out for one another.

Marley went to a orthopedic surgeon.
There was a 12 week recovery period,
exercise , therapy, etc.
The gown / jump suit was used in place
of the cone, as she was caged when one of us was not with her, I worked nites other half days, so it was a short period. Marley is a licker so
the gown stopped her from licking the wound and pulling staples / stitches out . Made it easier on her when she was caged, she hated the cone.. I'm sure you've be told much of the above

Here's our baby girl Marley after her ACL in her designer blue jump suit, ( we have a pink one also), surgery years ago. Her first surgery, we did the other one later when she healed and had built up strength/ muscle... we "tried" to limit her up n down movement, you'll see "pads" laying here n there. She's hard headed..
FYI: The therapy pool / treadmill combo, starts empty and slowly fills up. Will see if i can find some pictures

I lost my girl tonight. We made the decision to let her go after a tumor on her spleen had ruptured. I have never loved anything so unequivocally - my heart will never be whole again without her. Run free, Ursala. Give my love to your sister.

So very sorry for your loss. There is nothing as hard as losing a best dog friend.

Rest easy, ol’ girl.

Sorry for your loss, I am dreading the day I lose my bubs.

I'm up a couple of hours early this morning. Our cats managed to get our bedroom door open and gave us a wake up call. Gonna have to take Flash to the vet if they can fit us in. He's been coughing and breathing a bit fast the last couple of days. This is Flash when he first walked up to me and introduced himself:

Sorry for your loss, its hard to lose a family, a friend that shows you attention and love, we become so attached. She is there looking over you, they are watching over you. She is in a place with no pain, and everyday is a play day.

Thanks, all. It was completely unexpected. We went from thinking it was a lumbosacral issue to saying our goodbyes. She was my first dog, my best friend, and we were inseparable for over 11 years. I feel dead inside, today.

I know that feeling well. Is your house empty or do you have another pup to console you?

We have two greyhound boys here, 6 year old brothers. They’re confused about what’s going on and wondering where their big sister is.

We had a similar experience in 2018. Pup was having random abdominal pains and we thought maybe she ate something sharp. Nope - ruptured tumor just like yours. She never came home and the surprise and shock of it tore us up in a big way. Buffy (right) was the top dog and li'l Ted (left) didn't know how to behave without her there to boss him around. They all deserve more time than they get.

RIP old friends:

Just got back from the vet. So far they suspect it's either asthma, allergy or both. She gave us some pills to give him for a week. If that doesn't improve his breathing or it gets worse we bring him back for more tests. 93 Bucks for the exam and meds. He's worth a lot more than that to us! He made his displeasure known to the vet by drawing some of her blood! He's a feisty one!
