Post Your Furry Friends...

He had an ear hematoma drained and cauterized. He's somewhat less than thrilled. Two weeks in the cone of shame.View attachment 19133

SOP for this is to "quilt"the ear - stitches throughout the ear to keep the leaking vessel from reinflating the ear - his was like a pillow. But his ears were unique, one hung like normal (the right), the left flopped over his head like a Trump comb over. Soooo they took two pieces of what look like shoe leather and sandwiched his ear flap between them - then stitched the whole assembly TO HIS EAR. And while he was out they trimmed his nails and cut off 6 moles. Poor bastard.20170808_165716.jpg 20170808_165628.jpg 20170808_170732.jpg
He really wanted to hang his head out of the window on the way home, but the cone wouldn't allow it.

Despite the pain meds he just wimpered the first night. I felt like an ass. The next night he was rough housing with the other dog. Figured out how to navigate the dog doors with the cone. Effing trooper.

$800 later....

Sounds like my girl-dog. She ripped a nail off cornering too hard, chasing the neighbor's Australian Shepherd mix. Got her home from the vet & she ripped the bandage off, tore ass out the door & resumed trying to catch & eat the neighbor's dog. Total "daddy's girl", but goes feral outdoors.

Stella was at our front door about a year ago. A Tiny new kitten. I Couldn't catch her before going to work in the morning. Then Disappeared ... For a year . About a month ago almost a year to the day, we saw her and started to feed her outside, I got closer to her everyday.

Now she's the queen of the house.

She's trying to get Scotty up for more "cat and mouse"

Two new rescue kids! I've pretty much had pitties for the past 20 years. The ACD is INSANE(ly fun)! note that they won't sit still long enough to be in focus!

Dingdong ate the belt, then a flip flop. I guess one of the 2 is still partially stuck in his gut. Trip to the vet for some fluids (note his nice little hump back) and doped...

This is Bo. He is our latest Rescue. On a Tuesday a couple months ago, he was scheduled for euthanasia at 3:30. I walked through the door to get him at 2:40.

He is absolutely the sweetest dog I’ve ever seen....needless to say, he’s found his furever home.
