I just picked up a Q5. I'm guessing any PPQ mags will work. What others Walther mags will work. Also I always had good luck with Mecgar mags. Have y'all tried them. I'm looking a sorce for a couple more mags.

Your Q5 is an M2, right? Push button mag release?
Yes?
Then only M2 mags will work. The M1 mags have different cuts in different places for the paddles to hold them in.
Cant speak on mecgar mags...I only have Walther branded ones for our PPQs.

I've purchased mags made for the Magnum Research pistols (not the Baby Eagle gun), and they fit nicely on my M1. Got the tip from Walther forum. Actually Walther makes the frame for the Magnum Reseach guns. Price was $28 last year.

Ya taught me something right there. Only Walther I have ever owned was a 22 and it left a lot to be desired.

Yep...it was surprising at first. Wife and I bought ours at same time (M1 and an M2) and I was expecting mag interchangability.
Silly me lol.
@Meckmeister is right about the Magnum Research mags. I had a MR9 that shared interchangability with my M1 PPQ but not my wifes M2 PPQ.
Anyway, just be careful if you go that route. Make sure you get mags designed for a pushbutton release and not the paddle style release.

Here are the M1 and M2 mags side by side. M1 left M2 right. Note placement and number of cuts. 1 cut left, 2 cuts right, at different heights.

If you get a visual on mags before you order them, your mags will have the two lower cuts.
Here's what happens when the wrong mag is inserted.
M1 mag on left in 4 inch M2 gun, M2 mag on right in 5 inch M2 gun.

Happy shopping...hope this helps!!!

I believe you can also make some of the Canik mags work. I haven't tried it yet - but that is what I read somewhere.
