Some of you guys may have heard about this tragic event that took place yesterday:

Tragedy in Bessemer City

Josh Self, the son of the driver, is my neighbor. He is in a drug-induced coma until the swelling of his brain subsides.

What do you tell him when he wakes up? That his dad put him in the hospital in the act of murdering his wife and sister, in his failed attempt to murder his whole family?

Please remember them in your prayers. If you don't pray, positive vibes can't hurt.

What a terrible thing. I read the article and hearing all the testimony about his rapid and dramatic personality shift it really sounds like the man has a brain tumor.

I've seen several people say that on Facebook but I'm not sure it's true.

You don't tell him anything. That's not your burden to bear.
If you choose to bear a burden, bear the burden of comfort.
Be the one to hold his hand when he needs reassurance.
Be a shoulder to cry on when he needs.
Be an ear to listen while you're fishing on the lake.
Just be the friend, sitting in silence, while you watch the lightning bugs come out to play.

Come on, say it with me:

Our Father,
who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
for ever and ever

Amen
