Precision Rifle & Tool

I think @crebid used to hang out around there

Built a bunch of guns for me. Does not do wood stock work anymore, i.e. will not turn a blank or flat top into a stock, typically. Used to build guns for James Crofts...National F Class champion and others. PM me for other details.

Ray has done work for several LE agencies, mine (well where I retired from) included. Never had any issues with his work and built us solid rifles that would flat out shoot!

I'm just looking around and seeing what is available. What caught my eye was that they're here in NC and within driving distance. I'll probably have to get rid of some things though before I take the leap. From the comments it appears that they are quite reputable.

Buy your components as you can locate/wait on them. Drop them off with Ray and the magic happens. Very easy to make it all fulfill your wishes, just call him to verify what you want will fill the bill you want to make happen. Many stocks, barrels and actions are long wait times. Ray can tell you what works best with each other, you will not regret the build.

Just one guy, Ray. Part time. Call B4 U Go.

Ray is good to go. I had a 20 practical barrel custom made years ago for an AR, waited a year and it arrived with a noticably damaged crown from a very reputable barrel manufacturer. Ray fixed it on the spot for me. Another time I had him shorten a barrel on a 700 before I had the ability to do so myself. When I picked it up we got to chatting about Smith revolvers and Ray offered me a deal on a 29 from his personal collection I couldn't turn down. I told him I needed to swing by and ATM and he said "heck I'm hungry, let's go get some barbecue at the same time". Closed up his shop and hopped in my Corvette and away we went. I still have that revolver. Ray retired from the VA as an RN before becoming a gunsmith, and at the time I was finishing nursing school so we hit it off pretty good. He's second to none in my book.
