This is what keeps me up at night.
From our neighbors, from the road, who had a full size goat attacked a couple of days ago.

Best deterrent I ever found was a good dog.

We have a pit mix that I think is keeping them at bay for the moment. My wife and daughters heard them yipping last night, down by the creek. Dog had been very alert and active over the last few weeks, barking and chasing after things.

Only way to stop them View attachment 414265and keep them from breeding!
Yes, that's why I invested in a thermal.

He will do good until they lure him away and jump him as a pack. My German Shepherd does the same thing but she won’t go out of the yard. I heard her raising hell in the front yard that faces the wood line and she had 3 of them at bay! When I came back with the rifle, they were gone.

t’s not the only way. 😉

It never keeps me up at night but it fills my dreams.

Yes but I always feel bad for catching the stray dog. I actually need to set some traps for a beaver. They are doing some damage at the pond and I never see them when I go down there.

If its private land there should be no stray dogs. Not only that, the wide cast jaws on the pictured trap cause no foot damage.
