I'm not up on the new ammo prices sooo is this a fair deal?
Black hills cowboy action 45-70 405 grain lead flat nose 200 rounds for $2.27 per round. Really hard to find any 4570 right now.
 
That's kind of what I was thinking. They are in stock at midway USA 200 round case if anyone is interested.

I had to give up Thumper this past year due to neck issues that can't tolerate the recoil. I couldn't bear the thought of loading it down, I was running 300 gr bullets at 2100 fps. Sold it and bought a 44 magnum. Full power 180 gr are running 2182 fps, and 240 gr are 1693 fps with very mild recoil.

I feel your pain and know what you are going through. I have multiple sclerosis and tring hard no to lose the things I like to do.
 
Load you own. Here’s a start.

NC - 45-70 dies and Supplies

SPF I dont reload for this caliber so off it goes. Have a set of Lee dies, bag of brass, and a ton of bullets. $100 picked up in or around Kannapolis. Im a goober when it comes to posting pictures so you can text me at (704) 224-6340 and I can send pics
