Anyone using primer pocket go/no gauges to determine if a pocket has gotten too large from case re-use? I just ordered a set from Brownells.
I generally do the same, but I just recently ran across a piece of range pickup brass with a crimped in place primer, and once the crimp was removed it would not hold a primer. I mean it was so loose the primer would drop in and out freely. No, I usually just toss brass that deprimes too easily which works well enough for cheap pistol brass. You shooting expensive rifle brass?
I had a bunch of 5.56 like that, I’d mistakenly used the large primer pocket swaging rod on a few thousand pieces of brass. It was a sad day.I generally do the same, but I just recently ran across a piece of range pickup brass with a crimped in place primer, and once the crimp was removed it would not hold a primer.
