Looking at a BCA 223 Wylde upper. Any problems with the tighter Wylde chamber? I’d just get a regular 5.56 upper but beggars can’t be choosers right now. I’ve seen Lancaster Tactical has uppers cheaper but they don’t have great reviews.

No issues; the 223 wylde has the chamber angling but slightly shorter throat length than that of 5.56 and the freebore diameter of the .223 Rem

That said, all my ARs I build now get 223 Wylde barrels. I only have one 5.56x45 left. The 223W’s are all extremely accurate

As above my 3 AR pistols, and 2 carbines have 1:8 Wylde barrels
You wouldn’t happen to have a 7 1/2“ barreled pistol, would you? I ordered a 7 1/2 Wylde in hopes that it performs well. And a 16” upper is all I have found for my wife’s build and I want to get her one that’s not going to give her any problems.

I have 1 10.5’a 10.3 and a 8.5 they all have adjustable gas blocks, initially the 10.3 gave me some issues, and that is what caused me to get the SLR GAS BLOCK
They are loud as hell too
They are all home builds

with a 1:8 below 10.5”, I wouldn’t run extremely heavy ammo just to make sure it stabilizes

For a defensive round, something like a 62gr Gold Dot would be solid

I know ammo isnt plentiful or cheap right now but no matter what, I’d still shoot some of it to make sure it Is going to function like you need it to when you need it to

I’ve got a 10.5 for hd so this one is going to go on a poly 80% lower just for a fun gun/backup gun if it tests out. Hopefully it likes 55gr because that’s what I have the most of.

The 8 is finicky at times, but will eat 55gr PMC Out much fuss, since it’s a HD GUN i use good ammo

They have good prices but I haven't seen any good reviews. I was hoping someone had something good to say about them. Looks like that's not going to happen.
