My phone did an update last night and now push notifications are disabled and will not become enabled. Checked Google settings and they are enabled there. Says device is unsupported. Not sure what else to check. @amnesia Help please

Try logging out an in again on all your devices.

I just logged on with my iPhone and it shows push notifications not supported. I understand that, but don't know why my S22 shows blocked with no way to unblock it.

What browser?
"blocked": It says this when you have blocked push notifications on your browser. In Chrome, click on the lock on the URL bar > Notifications > Allow > then reload the page. Apple doesnt support push notifications sadly.

I have done that and it says permissions controlled by cff

What browser is that? Is it the samsung browser? I just impersonated you and I get this option. It gives me a popup to show notifications when I hit enable push notifications

I'm not sure how to tell which browser. I know it's Chrome, but other than that.

LOL I got nothing to add to the technical side of this conversation, so I'll just leave this here:

LOL! This was exactly the post I had already envisioned creating when I reached yours! ::shakes head::

can you click the lock in the address bar?

Hit reset permissions then go back into your control panel to enable permissions, It should give you a popup

I did, it did not. Even logged out and back in

Ok so I had a link that this system calls an app. Deleted the "app" and opened in chrome and it allowed me to enable the notifications. Thank you Screenshot_20221111_143248_Chrome.jpg

whew I was running out of options :D
I only tried it as a last resort, thinking something was embedded in it. It was just weird how it happened after the phone did it's last software update
