.....Tougher and more reliable than you might think.

This ammo is 10 years old. Winchester 38 Special 125 grain +P Jacketed Hollow Points.

It has been in daily rotation in multiple freezing hunting backpacks, hot summer glove boxes, damp tackle boxes, crowded purses, sweaty pockets and numerous chambers.

Beyond that level of normal abuse, each and every round eventually made its way through the washer and dryer, up to several times.

Clearing it out and checking zero in a recently cleaned and maintained daily carry Model P Jr......it all goes bang and shoots to aim.

This is not to say you should wash and dry your EDC ammo regularly but rather offered as a potential proof.....

Your good quality ammo is probably stronger than your reasonable neglect. It certainly was stronger than my unreasonable abuse.

Count me loaded fresh and promising to rotate carry stock somewhat more often.

I recently had the opposite experience, mt EDC carry ammo was about 2 years old and had 30-50% FTF, it was real bad. I was shocked.

I once needed to weigh down a tape measure and all I had was some duct tape and some 147gr hst.

I used about 5 rounds to weigh down my tape and checked a few water levels 🤣 (don't tell the EPA). Left it that way for a few months in my truck bed. When I finally shot them I didn't expect them to cycle, but they cycled just fine!
