Probably because the guy they went to serve the warrant on was already in their custody.I'm wondering if the scumbag the cops went to serve the warrant on has been charged with murder in the death of his girl friend and if he hasn't, why not.

^^^^^ ThisThis case is one of the most clear cut, worst case scenarios for what I used to teach my kids. Be very careful who your friends are. Best case scenario, it was a tragic outcome based simply on her continued relationship with her ex. Worst case scenario, she was actually assisting her ex in dealing. Regardless, her name coming up on jail house recordings, and her ex using her address and phone number as his brought the LE attention that ended with her death. It's tragic. But not all tragedies are crimes. And not all victims of tragedies are completely innocent in their behavior leading up to it. She has some contributory negligence in how she came into that situation. And if that angle, and personal responsibility in general, continues to be forced outside of the bounds of the discussion on police encounters people will simply continue to die based in part on their behavior and choices.
I understand the difference. However, in the course of the service an individual was killed. My understanding is that the BF fired first and was the proximate cause of the woman being shot.It was a search Warrant not an arrest warrant.
I wasn't aware of that and apparently they weren't either. What is unfolding from this is very complex.Probably because the guy they went to serve the warrant on was already in their custody.

The search warrant was for:
While the police affidavit requested a no-knock warrant, I see nothing in the actual search warrant that authorized a no-knock entry.
- her apartment;
- 2 vehicles, one of which was registered to her, and;
- 3 individuals, one of whom was her.
Sounds like she was an innocent woman who had terrible choices in men. As I understand it, correct me if I'm wrong.
2016: Breonna Taylor dating drug dealer. Breonna rents car. Boyfriend borrows car. Dead body found in car, Breonna not involved, according to police.
2020: Breonna now dating friend of drug dealer. Drug dealer listed her home as his, leading police to do search warrant at her home. Police claimed they knocked and announced. Heard by nearby witness.
Boyfriend claims he heard no knock. Possible.
Door broken down, boyfriend and Breonna in hallway. Police officer shot in leg, police returned fire. Breonna killed was in narrow hallway next to boyfriend.
Bullets went into next door apartment.
Is that correct?
Also, @Wahoo95 pointed out article that there is a rumor going around that these raids might have been attempts to depress real estate prices to allow them to be bought cheap. It's possible, wouldn't be the first time politicians were corrupt.
Alas, who amongst us is?????Not sure she is totally innocent
I looked into it a bit more.Wasn’t she also involved in the drug trade? Thought they had her on tape. She didn’t need to die, but her life choices put her in that situation. Not sure she is totally innocent.

It seems that when Glover was arrested, he made a call to a woman, claiming to the woman that Breonna Taylor had all his money. The raid happened afterwards, no money was found. Another man arrested claimed a different, third woman actually handled his money, and money was found on her. Claims were made that guns were stashed in nearby abandoned houses, this was found to be true.
GPS on Glovers car showed him going to her apartment multiple time the preceding few month, and also referring to it as a 'trap' house. Glover claims that he was just friends with her at this point, and had delivered shoes and other expensive goods to her home, fearing they would be stolen if delivered to his house. Yes, trusting drug dealers is not usually a good thing, but it seems the post office actually investigated this, and found nothing unusual(https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crim...he-breonna-taylor-police-shooting/ar-BB15PIsx ).
However, possession is 9/10 of the law. Nothing illegal was found in her apartment. Lot of smoke, no fire. The current boyfriend had all charges dropped. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, outside further evidence. Without further evidence, it sounds like Taylor and her current boyfriend, Walker, were just innocent victims in bad circumstances.
Another wrinkle, that leg shot the officer had was to his femoral artery. Would have been a kill shot without quick treatment.
