All our rabbits disappeared around the house lately.
Was seeing them every morning, sometimes during the day, Saw one spot dug under the fence to the garden early (spring) this year. but it's not been used for months now. Don't know what happened to them. maybe they gone strait nocturnal? I should try a gum and see whats collected.

You all just go around the home to trap and hunt or do you make a trek out to some good Rabbit hunting Forest grounds.

I trap as big a area as I have time to.

All nocturnal now, the nights have changed (cooler) and their seeking the cover of darkness. I walk Lucy every morning between 4 and 4:30 and see three times the amount I did just a month ago....

Good to know.
Would Cotten tails survive and breed in captivity?
Or would be better off with some store bought? I'd imagine virus and disease would be an issue with wild, is it legal to keep wild rabbits?

I think there was a thread on this somewhere and within that thread, I believe it was mentioned with wild rabbits, a buck would kill the doe in captivity.
