My wife found a rabbit den in our back yard yesterday. She said she saw a bunch of fuzz and grass. When she went to gather it up she noticed something was under it. I just went outside to see momma rabbit back for her evening feeding. She went away so I grabbed a pic of her uncovered babies

Little fuzz balls. I found 2 nests last year in the yard. One was right in the dog's favorite bush and he never found them yet he chases the adults all over the yard in the evenings. The mother will not hang around during the day (to keep the predators away) and only show up to feed. She'll dig them out feed them and cover them back up. Pretty cool. I had some wire hog panels that I put up around the nests to keep any dogs from getting to them as the kits get older and begin to have a smell. When they're young the kits don't have much of a smell which protects them.
