I would like to make this show. I expect prices to escalate as we get nearer the next election?

I’m planning to go, but I’m not paying a 50% premium vs online for powder, primers or loaded ammo.

Huh? 50% premium?

Primers for under $30/k with tax, powder prices have been better than online especially when you consider no hazmat or shipping. Most pistol powders for $18-22 per pound. The Raleigh gun shows are about the only place I buy powder and primers, for that reason. When I do buy factory ammo (for calibers I don't reload) I do that online.

Blue Collar and Cover Six are two vendors to check out.

I haven't been in awhile as it's hard to get a deal there anymore, but I'm gonna try this one.

I usually buy from Blue Collar, they have always had good prices, just didn’t see them at the last CLT show. There were few vendors that are smaller, and prices were higher than you describe. Maybe not 50% premium, but materially high.

Blue Collar quit going to the C&E shows, but they make all the Dixie shows in Raleigh. They are the reason that other vendors dropped their prices (or quit coming) but Cover Six never did gouge anyone with prices during the shortage, so I try to support them, too. I still saw some of the other vendors with decent prices on powder at the last C&E show, but BCR has the best selection by far.

There was Reloading Unlimited that really jacked prices during the shortage. He has quit coming to Raleigh altogether.

I'm probably going to be there. There's a rifle or two that I'm in need of putting my hands on.

We’ll be there. The fall show is usually a really good one.

I'll be there, it's my first ever gun show. Hoping to find a Beretta inox compact and looking to make a trade possibly.
Just don't forget your CHP/PPP... ;)

(Cause there's no such thing as the "gun show loophole")

I'm looking for a Blackhawk 45 convertible. I always spend some time with Johnny B., of the Swap Shop. Mark of Ammo Plus. Maybe run into BudE? I'm sure to stop by cubrock's. And, Blue Collar and Cover Six. Just to look at reloading supplies. I don't really need anything.

I may be there on Saturday spending some time in the Piedmont Community College booth supporting the gunsmithing program.

Going Saturday, will for sure meet up at cubrock's table. I will keep an eye out for type44 at the gunsmith school's table. Are powwowell and BudE buddies? I know both of these characters, good guys to deal with.

BudE and I have had some transactions. He's quite a character.

I'll be there Saturday, cash in hand.... because I don't need anything.
How much will you have? I need some guns. :D

I’m heading there in the morning, will eat lunch there. Don’t need anything, either. But, today was payday, and I have all next week off. It is an omen.

Heading there now. Who's running tables there, what are the business names , and where are they?

Went today. Bought some stuff from the guys selling reloader hoarders stash (Keith 38 moulds, 6.5x55 laupa brass reloads that I'll pull down), and some $5 AR Mags.

Did not see Mr Rudder, but I don't often look up, I suppose!

Four of us went, everyone found things on their want list at prices they were willing to pay, Mostly accessories, mags and loading supplies though, only one guy bought an actual gun and it was kinda esoteric and not something you would find in the LGS anyway.

Prices on normal guns were all over the place, sometimes differing on the same one by 25% just a few isles apart. Ammo was... not horrible? Maybe 25% over mail order. Better than most LGSs but not anything you would want to pay by the case for.

The only thing that truly wasn't well priced was lunch. I keep getting suckered by that vinegar based BBQ stuff. Ugh, so gross.

Saw some P365’s from $500 otd(a good buy, imo) up to $579.

A lot of overpriced Smith revolvers including a 66-1 snub @$1100
A Smith 645 @ $575, clean gun, good shape.
A blued Smith 39-2 minty in box for $550.
A 4553TSW pre rail. in box for $700.

Lots of the usual black stuff.

I saw the same stuff as @ladder13, plus a CHP 4006TSW that I’d seen in their retail store months ago.

Burned $30 in gas to buy a $3 gadget. I’ll never learn. :(

Maybe it’s a matter of timing (i.e., when one visits the show) but my impression was that there was more traffic than I’d seen at recent shows. Anybody have an opinion?

Yeah I thought the same, constantly having to wait for people to move on. An additional thing I noted that I wonder if anyone else did or if I'm off base: it seemed like there was a significantly higher percentage of black folks than I remember at previous gun shows. Maybe more are not only starting to vote Republican but truly "walking away" from the whole liberal mindset. Definitely a good sign.

So I bought a holster for my PMR-30 from a guy that made them right there on site. He has a huge pile of blue guns and a heat gun and molds the kydex right there. The backs are leather. It was $45, not too bad a deal. I also bought a rear stock for my AR, a couple of t-shirts, a cheeseburger and a hot dog. :)

Saw a kel-tec RDB there for $800 something and later another one for $1250. Yep, prices were all over the map.

I usually only go to the Dixie at the State Fairgrounds if I really need some bulk powder and don't have a better option. But I do still occasionally like to go to the Military Collectors show just for giggles. But the funny thing is, I always leave the collector show empty handed, then end up finding and buying better stuff at much better prices at the flea market right outside.
