Raleigh NC gun Show is this weekend (7/6-7/7)

I won’t be back today.

First show I have done and actually had the opportunity to sit.

This has never happened.

Just got back. Not crowded at all. Not many deals. Several vendors didn't even speak, one was plain rude.
I did manage to find 100 rounds of 45/70 hunting ammo with a plastic ammo can for $120 OTD.

I just got back- friendly crowd. I peeked at reloading stuff but prices weren't compelling enough. There was one table with some Ruger rifles, but none in 300BO. Ended up with a military backpack for my son from a surplus guy. Was fun for a lazy afternoon.

Did you see the Ruger 450?

I wasn't impressed. $600 for an Anderson AR? Really??

My son got a couple cheap knives, I got some OK mags for $5 per. Otherwise I'd say I paid about $6 too much to get in.

What happened, just poor attendance?
Yes, just a slow show. Keep in mind I don’t really sell much at the shows, it’s more about letting people know about my business but since we didn’t have many people then we don’t have buyers or as advertising.

We had a decent show for a summer show. We've done much better at this show than we did this weekend, but we've done far worse at shows before. I'm not complaining.

Coolest pick-up of the weekend was cheap and, for most people, boring - a South African RAP-440. Basically a South African made Astra A-75. I'd like to find the 9mm version of this elusive pistol, but I'm not complaining. One seldom sees either variation.

I also picked up a boatload of antique revolvers from a lady who inherited them from her late father. Mostly cheap Belgian copies of S&W revolvers, but they will be great fare for Hillsville in September.
