Instead of posting individual thread. I'm going to make one and post projects (that I can) to share with you guys.

    Services:
    CAD/Design/3D modeling
    Machining
    Consulting

I've been needing to make a manifold and bracket for my coolant system. Manifold I had but I wanted to the bracket, although just a bracket, to be kinda of fancy to be challenging. You do not have growth by being mediocre.

Check out the radius that goes around the mounting tab

Right now I'm running some job shop work. Making a crank spacer for a ATI harmonic balancer and Pro-Charger pulley and doing a small job for Burswick Nuclear power plant. I'll be doing engraving and other things for guys local to the area.

In my 80% lower thread, I mention how I wanted to do something but it might not be seen a funny as I see it.

    But screw that!

Neighbor came to me and asked me to do some simple milling on his slide. Turned out great and now his wife wants her done.

finished the vacuum fixture last week or so and started making parts. Machining thin part is a bare because raw stock is not flat and its hard to hold it. Enter the vacuum fixture.

Can make my own mirror, now haha.

Rush Job for a local Chevy/GMC performance shop. Stock weight 7.5 pounds, finished part was 3lbs. 1.6" crank spacer. Going on a Camaro making 850 on street tune and 1000+ set on "kill"

Needed a long cutter to be able to get to everything that I needed in one operation

Always blown away by the stuff I see in the machine shop I visit occasionally. I don't think I posted these here, but you'll probably remember better than I would because of the subject matter.

Started with a 300lb chunk of 4140. Ended up with a 20lb piece. Spindle or something? They were being shipped out to Sonoma for the NASCAR road course race. $7500/ea. That's a lot of machine time!!

Customer called and needed more smaller (thickness wise) crank spacers. So I cranked them out.

    Thanks.

I honestly never notice that. That mark was from my supplier writing my name on the metal.

I was referring to the title being “soft jaws” and the image showing the workpiece being held by hand. Obviously it’s just the image from the start of the video, but I’m easily amused.
