night sights on my XDM went dark so purchased new ones. Went to install this morning and the rear sight screw is frozen. I guess this is a great way of saying Loctite works well. It has bent the Allen key I have been using. I hit it with WD40 and let it sit for 7 hours with no luck.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

The heat gun should work. It's usually what I use.

If you need some Kroil, let me know.

Tried a glue gun to heat it up but that did nothing. Went and got a cheap soldering iron at wacky world and tried that. Didn’t budge. Will grab some Kroil as Jeppo said and let it soak in. I am also using a POS Allen key which actually had a piece break off. Will try to upgrade with better one.

Locktite sells a solvent if you know that is the issue. I have had success with acetone. Sometimes you can tighten the problem screw / bolt just a hair and that can break the locktite bond

Did the Kroil work?

I haven’t had time to go get some. Hopefully this weekend. Meanwhile I am without my HD gun. Luckily I have a spare to get me through till I get her fixed. And my wife said I didn’t need 2 guns or 4 or 6 or, we’ll you get the point.

..... getting her fixed? Are you referring to your rear sight or your wife's opinion on Firearms cap? Sometimes it's not about what we need it's about what we want
