I've been going back and forth on putting a better optic on my Henry H001. I currently have a cheap Simmons 4x on Leupold Rifleman rings. I was pretty set on the Leupold FX-1 4x, but also considered the Vortex Diamondback 2-7.

I came across the Redfield 2-7x32 at Academy for $100, and all the Redfield scopes seem to be very well reviewed...can anyone speak to the quality/value of Redfield scopes? I'm assuming Redfield is now owned by Academy as they're all exclusives.

Anyone have what they think is an ideal setup for their lever rimfire? I love this gun and just think it deserves something better than what I have. I like the simplicity of the 4x and still think I'm leaning towards the Leupold.

I had a Redfield on a rimfire years ago and it was fine. No issues. I really like the Leupold 3-9x33 EFR. Different price point though. For good money value check out the Sightron rimfire scope. They are pretty good too.

I doubt you’d have an issue with Redfield but Leupold is my default setting for most things (unless there’s a compelling reason otherwise)

I have one of the newer Redfield 2-7 scopes. It is a good scope for the money. It is NOT the Redfield of old, they are now an imported Academy exclusive. They have an in store lifetime warranty. Simply return it to the store for a replacement scope from what I've read.
