I recently picked up an old 9mm. It's in perfect mechanical condition and the finish is probably about 85-90%. I thought about sending it to Ford's Refinishing for one of their great jobs but, it will take months for that. I don't have that much patience.
I thought about Cerakote but not many people around here do it and I'm not crazy about sending it off. I know that there are DIY kits for this and I considered it.
I have also seen that some people get good results from just rattle can refinish jobs. I like this idea. Color selections are endless, touch ups are easy and, no need to disassemble.
So, I decided to do my own rattle can job. I decided on a color but, the color doesn't seem right. Maybe it will change when it dries. What do you think? It was supposed to be a Neon Pink but it looks more like farm tractor red.
