Refurbishing fieldgrades ping pong table

I'd be super tempted to paint the logo either freehand or stencil. Less trouble and thinner than a decal.

I would think a little flatting in the clear coat would provide enough texture.
 
Quick update
Flipped the table over and started spraying the bottom.

Next I'll put some clamps on the spots where the support board is coming off and screw some L brackets in
 
1 of 2 spots fixed. Lbrackets and gorilla glue ftw

By now this thing should be sturdy enough to be the foundation for a tiny house. I've moved lighter pool tables.

Had a few more minutes to work on it between the kids asleep and the sun still out enough to see

Will check it in the morning when I can see what I am doing. The bottom is probably done. Time to flip it over and work on the top again.

I am at the beach right now and don't have all my files with me. I can tell you that the US/Gadsden flag part of the logo will only blow up so far without losing resolution. It is a raster file, not a vector file so it will become pixilated when it gets larger. Thats one of the main reasons I suggested doing it as a single color vs full color.

once its done, ill start putting something together, I still putting together the decals. I'm still 3-4 weeks out from finishing
 
As big and sturdy as that thing is we could probably have a regulation tennis match on top of the table.

the hard part will be playing on chipped mulch. no solid footing, ill put money someone rolls an ankle

Kids mainly sucking up all my time. Last month we got all that rain.

I'm hoping to start this up again this werkend.

Good day for it Saturday. If you put the neon lights under it I'd go with the purple.
