What was your choice of stock for your precision/long range build? Likes, dislikes? Pics!

I re did a long action Remington 700 a while back and used a Stockys Stock Bell and Carlson knockoff. Couldn’t believe the difference. For the money I’m pleased with it. Gun shoots 100% better.

Went with a Manners carbon fiber with mini chaisis. Its not cheap but its quality kit. I recommend not going with the cheapest stock possible. You 100% get what you pay for and if you only intend to shoot off a bench the cheaper options are fine. If you are going to shoot LR matches and positional shooting a quality chaisis or stock goes a long ways. I am not an expert and did not stay in a holiday inn last night.

It really depends on what you want. I like and use McMillan, Manners, Grayboe, HS Precision and Bell & Carlson for synthetic stocks. There is an extra charge for an adjustable cheekpiece, a synthetic will need to be bedded to get the most out of it and detachable bottom metal purchased if a magazine is desired.
A chassis is generally plug and play. With the chassis you have the adjustable cheek piece included, you will save on the cost of bedding and there is no need to buy the DBM as it is integrated into the platform. I have used many of the chassis that are on the market and feel that the KRG Bravo for $350.00 is hard to beat. A decent M5 DBM is $160 by itself and a quality bedding job will run $150.00 plus....

I like them and have used many of the AI chassis in the past, but haven't had anyone specify one in years. The AI is quite pricy and really doesn't offer any advantage over other currently available chassis. They started the chassis trend and they still look cool.

No one uses AICS?
I used an AI AX and found it to be heavier and that I did not need all the adjustments that additional weight earned me. I really liked my surgeon 591 in the AX, but it in a Manners carbon t2a is better for my midget weakling body. As you know I am a 5'4" little manlet so my experience is not what normal sized folks get. The ole civic is still truckin along and now over 210k miles1

McMillan, Manners, Kelby for tac/match shooting, Stocky for hunting. Don't like chassis systems.

I have HS-Precision on the Sendero (Factory) and I had a Bell & Carlson. The problem with those is the ability to take AICS mags... IIRC...

I do have a R700 Short Action Bottom Metal and Mags to offload that fit those stocks once I upgraded to a JAllen.
