Renting sports cars?

Dang. A C2 big block is worth A LOT of scratch threse days.

About 10 years ago I rented a convertible Camaro and drove from one end of California to the other up the coast. It was simple, but it was one of the most memorable trips I've taken with my wife. That's saying something because we've been all over the world traveling.

When is his birthday and does it matter the generation? I know a guy that has a C2 and C7 Grand Sport. I'm not sure he would let a stranger drive them but I have driven them several times and could probably grab one for an afternoon. I'd pick the C2 as it is a 427 with side pipes! Also could get my dad's Porsche Carrera 4S convertible out. I've taken all of my kid's and several of their friends on rides in it. Many smiles to be had.
October. He’d probably prefer the C7. I’d prefer a Mustang. But it’s not my birthday!

If you are close enough to an airport and rent cars for business enough you can score inexpensive upgrade from places like National. The wife is an emerald club member with corporate privileges. Sometimes we can upgrade to luxury cars for less than $50 a day based on availability.

The Autumn Leaves Festival in Mt Airy is October 14-16. You and the Mrs would enjoy it.

One piece of advice. When they ask, do you want to cover that with extra insurance. The answer is YES, why yes I do 🤣
