Well, I guess that's me then. My first one I messed up and had to redo, second was better, just left the 1 off the 12...lol. It's kind of intimidating at first, OK? I'm normally a very smart person, but maybe I got nervous with all the guns all around, not to mention all the men with guns all around! Big guns!! (OK, OK, I liked the men with guns, OK? So sue me!)

And actually I'm adopted and a dentist told me I had some speckle to my gums so either I am part black or part indian. As far as the Obama diversity census plan, I'm an indian baby. Feather not dot.

I'm adopted too, and know there's some native american on both sides of my equation, but I've not always known that, so I keep with white so as not to confuse the issue. Maybe that's not a good idea? I mean, I haven't done the DNA test....but I'm told both parents have Cherokee in there...

You owe them exactly nothing other than the truthful (to the best of your knowledge) answers to the specific questions.

Don't confuse "providing answers to the authorities" with "being honest before God and your fellow men... er, menkind" (as in, other folks).

Those of us raised to respect others & revere truth and honesty are somewhat conditioned to regard the government as the arbiter of goodness. It ain't. In many cases, government is necessary and provdes valuable service. In many cases... not.

If you identify with "white," check the appropriate box. If you identify with "motley melting pot American mutt who loves the idea of individual freedom and the Constitutional precept that the authority of any government rests firmly in the hands of the governed," check any ol' box at all.
