Ima stoopid fool

A hand crank Gatling is not considered a fully automatic weapon by the ATF. Now if it were “powered” like say a Dillon Aero Minigunwhere the shooter holds a trigger to activate the gun it is full auto and ATF territory and if it is pre-1986 it can be privately owned ... wonder how many M134 Miniguns are actually pre-86, mainly GE, since Dillon came into the game in the late 80’s after the Hughes Act.

That's for those pesky indian zombies.
Gatlings are so retro bad ass. Been looking around for a decent price .22 model for years, every time I come across a good one it's 22 short.

I don't mean to steal the thread, but I don't want to waste this memory and let another rare, lucid moment die before fruition.

I had a buddy up north who made a functional .50 caliber MUZZLE-LOADING Gatling back in the early '90s. Now that was a HOOT to fire at the range, but it took all day to load the 100 "cartridges" and cap 100 nipples for four or five minutes worth of actual firing. The range was shut down for about an hour afterwards, waiting for that massive cloud of smelly smoke to clear off of the firing line.
Yep...gotta love the crazy!

It's like a weapon and diversionary device in one. I can only imagine what that looked like afterward!

Naaaah... it's not hard to imagine at all! Lots of sooty, grimy, smelly cartridge tubes to clean and charge (if you can find all of them on the grassy firing line) and all that powder residue that wants to jam up the works.

I think the ol' boy passed about fifteen years ago and went to that big rifle range in the sky. Lots of good fellas up there, but I'm not in a hurry to put my application in!
