Repurposed adult toy

I have no idea why but I feel like you guys could appreciate the ingenuity here.

So like 5 years ago, our GSP was a puppy and found a umm. Rubber toy under our bed and chewed it up pretty bag. I should have thrown it away but put it in a large bin I have marked for "misc parts for projects". The same bin includes pulleys, air pumps, misc fittings, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.

Last week I leaned too hard against my PTO generator while hooking it behind my tractor and broke the rubber mounts that secure the control panel. The factory mounts are cast over the threads so you can't repair them. I tried to use gorilla glue knowing it wouldn't work.

So I decided to make a new mount and remembered that old thing in the parts bin. The rest of this story can be told through pictures.

Well the chew marks were what removed it from our toy box lol

I found one of these toys under the trunk mat in a used car I got from a private sale.

It was 18 inches long and purple in color.

I picked it up with blue gloves and left it on the last and found table at work.

Hope it found a good home.

Not sure how well that will hold up under hear from the gen. head, probably only designed for 98.6 or so. If it fails McMaster Carr is my go to for such items.

It's late October now and they're still...erect. I use the generator fairly regularly lately and actually seem to think these have a little more springiness(?) than the factory rubber mounts.
