Resident knife makers

How come none of the knife makers on this site sell or advertise their product here? Blade forum has a section where the makers can put stuff for sale. There are several makers that got their start that way and now they can’t make product quick enough. Fiddleback, Carothers are a couple. I’ve been trying to get a Carothers DEK1 or 2 for awhile without paying a fortune. When they do come up used they are gone in minutes. Anyway I was just curious as to why? Heck I don’t even know who all the makers on here are.
 
I used to make knives via stock removal for fun and I usually just gave them away. Then people started asking for knives for me to sell to them and I felt pressure to perform to a certain level and timeline. It completely killed the fun for me and I walked away from the whole thing.

I've been thinking about getting back into it and just giving them away again. I would just have to say no if asked to commission a piece.

I have one of his beauties, too. He gifted it to me in exchange for a microwave I got from someone else that I ended up not installing.

I'm seriously considering having him make a knife for my son...if only to keep my son from taking this one from me!

Exactly what I had @opaul do for my son this Christmas. Goes without saying but it was a huge hit and turned out amazing.
