Looking for some help here! My amazing lady friend surprised me with a trip to Charlotte motor speedway next weekend where she’s got me driving a Lamborghini Huracan at the track. I’d like to repay her buy taking her somewhere we’d enjoy ourselves for supper. Not picky eaters, so if y’all have any local spots you love, please toss me out there. Any help is appreciated.
Mods, feel free to move this garbage if I’m in the wrong spot!

If you want to go a little more upscale, 73 and Main in Mount Pleasant is a favorite. Make a reservation. Get the apple pork chop and potato cakes loaded.

The Smoke Pit in Concord, on Hwy 29 about 5 miles north of the racetrack. Not a fancy place by any means but good bbq, ribs, brisket and smoked chicken and large portions. They close at 8 and not open on Sunday.

Friday or Saturday night if you prefer fish, from an old style fish camp, let me know and I give up a local secret.

I had no idea those old fish camps were still around!

You should stay with the spirit of her gift and go upscale Italian for dinner.

Oh my, how times have changed.

A month ago, I would have recommended Villa Antonio on South Blvd for Italian food.

Maybe in the future!
