Anyone heard of a restricted pistol permit in NC before? Guy on Armslist is asking me if he can buy my G19 with one.

Tell him to snap a picture of it with his phone and text it to you. He can block out his name with a scrap of paper. And a real permit will have an embossed raised seal when you see it in person

I bet he has an out of state permit that has some restrictions. I have had people reach out to me on there saying they have a permit from XX State can they use that. Who knows what he has but it is fishy enough I would steer clear.

For the sake of discussion, assuming he was an out of state buyer the thing to do would be to go to your FFL and have them transfer it to his FFL, who would in turn ensure that he met the requirements on his end. The payment gets a little complicated as you would likely want some sort of escrow. He wouldn't want to pay you until the item shipped and you wouldn't want him to take possession until payment was verified valid. Both of these up the cost, plus shipping, significantly. Chances are, unless it's something unique and rare, it's probably not a worthwhile transaction. What should be a simple process between individuals becomes a quagmire due to federal and state government interference.

No worries I was just wondering BTW Craigs is the place to buy if your eligible thats for sure. The only reason I was wondering is you don't have a high post count and you said it was for your friend. Many times when people get on here and other classified ad sites for firearms you have to make sure they're telling you the truth. Anyways I'm sure he will like the price at Craigs bc it should be well under the $450 @Damn_Yankee was asking.

I was on here years ago but forgot my username so I started new. I have a lot of good feedback on the other site. I am burtgummer (no space) over there. The blue label program is pretty nice. Thanks
