The way technology is going I'll probably quit shooting in a few years and maybe take up something else. Something a bit more challenging. Like bowling perhaps. Just think, someone who has never picked up a rifle can become an expert rifleman if a matter of a few minutes. "See that 6 inch steel at 749 yards? See how many times you can hit it in 30 seconds. Awesome!" Hey, now that you are an "expert" at rifle shooting, you wanna go bowling?"
I agree with NKD. It will be interesting to see what happens, and like everything else the price will come down too. A scope selling for $3,000 today may sell for $300 in ten years. Or it may be obsolete and relegated to the junk drawer.
