Really like the 3” 66. Good stuff. Also, good to see another NY-1 3” RB

Your NY-1s inspired me to post the NYC collection. Includes a 640-2.

Very nice collection. The 4 inch RB 64 was hardest to find for me. Need to get some pics of it. I think there’s two more 3 inch 64’s in my safe somewhere, lol.

Same here. Love the 3” 64s.

Found my NY-1 4” RB by luck. Saw GunBroker auction for one look like a regular square butt with rhe Pachmayr grippers. Scrolled through more than 30 photographs to see the last one, grip off, round butt. Snatched it up.

Quite a nice group!

Nice posts. Really like the Herrett’s on the Ruger.

So, picked this up today. It is a GunBroker purchase. Good condition Model 37 (no dash), nickel plated, made in 1983. I added the Badger Combat Grips for the photo, but will will probably get Magnas and a Tyler T Grip for carry. It’s hard to beat a Model 37. Plus, nickel is sort of pimp.

Herrett Shooting Ace on the Smith & Wesson .22 Kit Gun.
Altamont Snakeskin on the Ruger SP-101 327.
Altamont Bateleur Silverback on the Smith & Wesson 610.

Which one did you like?

Herrett's on the Smith. Those are some of my favorite grips. I just mistyped. Herrett's on Smith.

I don't ever remember seeing a square butt Model 49.
These grips turn a round but into a square butt. They give you a better "grip" for shooting. They will fit any round butt J frame...... Look close at the top of hump and you can see the hammer.here is a pic from the back of grip. I have 3 more pair of these

damn flash on camera has a mind of it's own. Comes on in bright daylight and not in dim light
I can help you with that. I'll trade you a gun for a camera with a flash that works. You pick the gun, then I'll pick the camera. :D

Try taking your cell phone photos outdoors in natural light (no flash). I use my I-phone 7.

Don't help him!!!!! I'm trying to arrange a trade for one of his best guns for a broken down old camera or cell phone. ;)

Got lucky today. Stumbled across this Model 42-1 Classic for a ridiculous low price today. Had to snatch it up. These “lemon sqeezers” are less common. This one is modern production, last 10 years or so. This is an alloy framed 5 shot .38+P with grip safety. It needs a Tyler T Grip.

Had the carbon steel version, a Model 40, tucked into my waistband all afternoon. I’ll post a picture of it later, along with an original Model 42 from 1974.

EDIT:
