Revolver Picture Thread

I'm running a 300 grain solid with an 80% meplat at 1,600 fps outta a 16 inch gun. That load is BRUTAL outta my 3 1/2 inch Freedom Arms gun. While that should Not be shot in our Blackhawks I would not hesitate to carry a cylinder full out walking around...you know...for serious purposes ;)

Don't know if you know this...the 4 inch 66 is what Dick Marchinko armed SEAL TEAM 6 with during the Viet Nam conflict. He had an unlimited budget and this is what they used. I always thought that was impressive. There are many pictures in his book Rogue Warrior.

I'd like to read that book. I'm going to do some searching around and see if I can find a copy. I really do like the 66. This is my no dash that I obtained from a member on the prevoius forum. It sees regular use at the range. I ccw it occasionally too. It was abused a little bit before I picked it up but the marks add character.

been after one of these for awhile, please joe no take

Nice revolver. I had one just like that but gave it to my nephew. I kept the 45 Colt Mountain Gun that I carry in the woods quite a bit.
maybe you've posted pics in this thread and I missed them? do you just use a normal 4" m6/29 holster? thinking about getting a local guy to stitch some leather for this one.

It should fit. I use a holster I have for a 329. The 625 Mountain Gun fits into the holsters I have for some 629 revolvers, but the barrel on my 625 is shorter than the barrel on any of my 629 revolvers.

One that I required from a deceased neighbor / friend a few years ago. Members on the S&W Forum put it as being produced late 1919 (possibly shipped in early1920). Looking for a set of factory grips (k-frame since factory grips are expensive from what I have been told).

Dressed up my .41 with new checkered lamo-camo grips to help me hang on.
I like the full hand feel of the wood monogrips.
Side by side with the smooth Rosewood takeoffs and my Stainless .357 and Single six for comparison.

Nice rosewood if anyone wants them.
