Rock Island TAC ULTRA FS HC - 9MM

my son shoots one in 3 gun. its a good way to get a comp pistol for under $1200 after trigger work and building high cap mags

Maybe one. I wont order 3 though.
Well, in my own defense, it now seems like a good idea to order 3...increasing the chances of getting a good one. o_O

I want one to go with my 10mm version, but grad school tuition is not going to let that happen.

I am glad they are still selling them.

For the 9mm?

yup. I had one, shouldnt have sold it. Westbrooks son is running the snot out of it now. I built up 140mm mags to hold 23/24 rounds ea.

MBX has them ready to rock in 126mm, 140mm or 170mm.

Greg Cote has them as bone stock originals to the Para/Rock Island

Went to Greg Cote and didn't see any of the double stack 9mm mags.

Ria has the tcm22/9mm combo mags. I'm guessing they'll work the same?

Ordnance P18 17 round .38 Super or 9mm magazine with a blued finish. This magazine is also compatible with the Bul M5 IPSC 9mm (won't insert properly if the pistol has an extended magwell), Rock Island Armory 9mm 1911 A2 and Armscor 9mm 1911 A2 FS PS. I have been told that the will also work in the Bul M5. However the magazine catch has to be altered, widened a bit.

Thanks for posting the link. I need them for my rock island 22tcm/9mm.

Got it. So with the base plate that I'll have to buy for this ria, brings the mags to basically $40 a pop

I’ve got the 9/22 TCM combo...love it! I got extra mags directly from RIA.

Some of the Para mags should work as posted above.

I owned @Mike Overlay s RIA before moving it on to @jjwestbrook s kid.

While it was nice, looked cool and shot well....it did not improve my scores and did not contribute to my "oh dammit...I don't have enough ammo to finish this match, what do I have on the bottom shelf that will work" approach.

My Springfield XD(m) 5.25" runs any ammo I care to feed it, shoots for score just as well as the 2011s and doesn't require a voodoo priestess to bless the magazines.

The last four new guns I bought all had "issues". Your hypothesis might be the answer.

Don't go cheap on mags and it should run ok. I had one that I fooled with for awhile in 40.
If all you want to do with it is plink you will be fine, if competitions are your goal and you have to have a 2011 just save up for a STI.

Wait a sec, in your tag line you claim to be an enchanter.... and you can't enchant your own mags? I'm starting to doubt your powers.

It’s a couple years later.... are there any options for .40 widebody (Para/Remington/RIA) mags that don’t cost $100+?
Sadly, none that I know of. It cost me very close to that a few years back to build some up for a Para/RIA frame
