First----Thanks in advance for any advice from our vast reservoir of knowledge and wisdom.
I have a Rossi ranch hand in 44 mag with a 12 in barrel. This is labeled as a pistol. I am only interested in Legal changes to this gun.
With that said: This thing is a beast to shoot. I love it but trying to get on target more than about 10 /20 yards is a bit difficult. I was wondering what I would have to do to attach a standard stock to this gun legally. Would I need a sbr tax- AOW, or what is required? -- or is it not possible legally?

I know a guy that just did this, same gun/caliber. He did the eForm 1 and paid the $200 right through the BATF website. He got approval in EIGHT days. It's now his favorite gun - until the next one.

yep
but you also need to have some engravings done per atf requirements for sbr/sbs

Form 1 to make an NFA firearm.

Swap the stock and engrave (in whichever order you want) and you’re done.
