If you would like to guarantee a spot in the match you can-

1)Volunteer to setup. You will receive a code to register early and will have your match fee comped. We have spots for 12 staff members. First come, first served.
2)Be a RCWA range member. When you register be sure to check the box for members.

Please remember, we only have room for 84 shooters, and RCWA members are guaranteed a slot. So to accommodate this we only open up squadding to about the first 70 shooters. Usually by Tuesday evening, if RCWA members haven’t signed up by then, we open up all the remaining slots. We usually approve about 6 extra shooters to cover Saturday morning no shows, so if there is no room to squad, BUT you HAVE received an approval email, just show up and we’ll fit you in.

If you can’t make it, please let us know ahead of time. We don’t mind withdrawals, but don’t take up a slot someone else really wants.

Thanks, Brian and Dan

This isn't necessarily related to the USPSA match coming up, but is related to the Rowan Wildlife Association. I'm planning to apply for membership but nowhere on the website does it say how much the application fee is and what the annual membership fee is. Hoping someone could let me know what these fees are. Thanks!

If I recall correctly, the application fee was $475 when I joined a few years ago. This must be paid in addition to your first year membership dues which is $125. I’m pretty sure there is currently a pretty long waiting list. Last I heard they were only accepting new members as old ones fell off. The club is at capacity from my understanding.

To add, they are almost a year back on applications. So if you applied 3/2018, your number is just now being called. That may change a but when dues come up in June, but its going to be lengthy process

Hi guys, this will be my first match. I’ve read the rule book over and over, but I’m a little nervous about making sure I do the right things or bring the right stuff. Also I got a email about selecting a squad, but don’t want to select one, where everyone is having to wait because I’m fumbling around. Any advice?

Heres what you should do:
1. Select a squad so the MD can get people situated.
2. Show up at 9, register and pay, then go walk the stages to see how they’re setup
3. Watch other people walk stages, see how they air gun, listen to what they say. Alot of times people talk to their friends about how they’re going to run a stage.
4. Go to a safe zone and holster your gun. Leave your ammo under the carport and get it after you gun up.
5. Attend the shooters brief @9:45
6. As you go to the first stage, let the RO know you are new so he can help you. He will explain the 180°, finger off trigger while moving, holstering, unloading and showing clear, ect.
7. Have fun. Remember its your first time. No one cares how you shoot, but they will remember if you are being unsafe.

Yeah. Pick a squad. Any available squad will do. Everyone will more than likely be glad to assist and give out tip, tricks, and general advise.

Ask questions when in doubt on anything.

Do what the RO says and only when the says.

Get your hits, keep the muzzle on the back berm while not shooting (slim to no chance for a 180 violation). And do not worry about speed. That will come later.

Have fun. Rowan is one the best matches to go to from 1st timers to well experienced hotrods.

@Jdchlm Squad 4 has an opening and the names I recognize on it would make a great squad for a first timer. The match is very new shooter friendly and most folks are more than willing to help if you ask.

Thanks for the information. One more question, will there be vendors there before the match? I am in the process of moving and have misplaced my mag holders...

Not sure how I un-register, but if there is something I need to do please let me know.

The website tells you that 600.00 is due with the application and as Butter said, list is 12 months or more.... Also, the background check must be from your county of residence.... not a neighboring county.....guy tried that and it didn't work...
