Ruger MK I

Darn near savage

Actually it's my pistol. A guy brought this to me in the early 80's in a Crown Royal bag with every piece disassembled & rusty. Said it had been under the seat of his jeep. He's dead now & his mom told me to keep it. I cleaned it up the best I could & got it back together & it shot like a new one. I killed many a squirrel with it when I could see open sights. I let an idiot have it to Duracoat & he said he'd make it look nice. This is what I got back. I'm trying to put an Aimpoint on it but the only the Allen wrench I can't find is the one for the dove tail block. MFG. late '73 or early '74.

I have bought 2 Rugers that were completely disassembled. I would gladly buy more.

Id have whipped somebody’s azz for that!

I jst spent 2 hours trying to reassemble this damn thing & I know how. I took it apart & reassembled it 5-6 times. The bolt would pull back but the hammer would not cock. I finally pulled the grips off & found the hammer pin had backed out allowing slop in the hammer & it wouldn't catch. I've never had that happen on one of these pistols.

There is definitely a trick to putting them back together.
Either you can do the trick or you give the bag of parts to someone else.

They do make a men's version.... :)

Picked this one up in a pawn shop years ago for 160.00. Had Frmr0317 cerakote it black. It's had the full Volquartsen/TandemKross makeover as well.
