Ruger PC carbine, now in .40 and with handguards

That must be why they’re selling the original 9 at such low prices.

Maybe if you drop it in the lake.

Hm. So it's a take-down carbine; how does one make a free-floating barrel if the handguard detaches with the bbl as an assembly?

I like the idea, just don't understand how that works. If free float means bbl is mounted to receiver independently of the handguard/forestock...?

I like it. Needs more stock options. Which will likely start happening.

@Slacker promised there would be aftermarket stocks if I bought one. The handguard is a start, but he promised... so where is my magpul backpacker stock???

Probably at the same time as .45ACP? They've gotta figure out how to fit the larger glock mags in there (and whatever throw away mag from Ruger they'll include in the box. :) )

Anyone who wants to throw away their SR9 magazine from the PC Carbine box, throw them my way :).

That doesn't put the sights back where they belong lol

Sweet! Interestingly the new handguard only comes on the 40, and the 40 with the regular handguard is .2 lb lighter than the 9mm version. o_O

Would really love a 357SIG or 10mm version. Not sure which I would by if they were available simultaneously, but definitely one of them.

The .40 is very likely cut from the same barrel blank. Meaning bigger bore, less metal, less weight.

Make it with a wood stock, drum mag and in 7.62x25mm!

When the world has ended and you're wandering the wasteland, Uncle Georgy has you covered!

I am barely Russian conscript with ten minutes training tier (far fatter than those lean dudes) so that is the perfect gun for me! Although for daily carry I'd rather have the 43.....
