This HAS to be here for SNAL...
Besides the fact that there are probably more .22s sold that bear Ruger than any other manufacturer.
10/22s
MARK IIIs
SR 22

I've got a M&P 22 compact coming in this week. Hoping that It'll get the wife into shooting steel matches with me this spring. Traded into it at my LGS, but he had to order it. I'm planning on wrapping it up and giving it to her for Christmas.

As far as I know, Marlin's model 60 is still the most common .22 rifle out there. I'm a Ruger fanboy, with many of their rifles and handguns, but I gotta hand it to Marlin on the model 60.. it blows the factory-stock 10/22 out of the water at half the price. More accurate, better trigger, better factory mags.

You sure redneckfur? I could have swore the 10/22s were the most popular. I have 4 of them in different configurations...lol

Gonna be a shocker DS...but nestled somewhere in my MKII/III, 22/45, 10/22 collection....there's at least 2 Marlin 60's.....and I dearly love my old Marlin 99 and 999 (M1 copies).

(I'm out of practice....took me almost 24 hours to see the "Ruger" header!)

......you said .22 Rugers.

Say it ain't so......I thought it was against your religion to own a gun that didn't say Ruger on it...lol

It matters little what I say, but I just can't stand a 10/22. When someone has to say, "just drop such another trigger in it" is just proof that it's not for me. Now, one of my favorite guns is the Mini 14. One of my favorite wheel guns is the SP-101. I loved mt MKll that I foolishly sold to a great guy on another forum, eh. Etc., etc..I gots no love for a 10/22, but not because it's a Ruger.

Marlin 60 is where it's at for me. Honestly, though, I think the Nylon 66 that will soon leave me is a great shooter, but my all time favorite, wish I had right now .22 rifle is the Grade 2 Browning BL-22. Sigh.

What do yall think about the Ruger American bolt action 22lr that takes 10/22 mags?

I've read it is a nice rifle and people seem to like it. I think the action is better on the savage...but the Ruger is still pretty accurate.

I really like mine. My 10yo son loves it.

That being said, it's the only bolt action I own other than a bolt .410 my dad has had since he was about 12. And it's the only 22 rifle I've ever owned other than my 15-22 SBR.

It looks good what kind of scope is on it?

Copying the whole title from my Amazon order: Bushnell AR Optics Drop Zone-22 BDC Rimfire Reticle Riflescope with Target Turrets, 2-7x 32mm

came highly recommended from several members...

Nah what you got?

Take me all night to get pics of everything Ruger...LOL. I thing I have some old shots of the group...just added a few since then. Just took some phone snaps of the .22's.

IF you wanna just keep it to 22 thats fine. I have a model 60 but i was just looking at getting a bolt action 22. But honestly i shot a savage 17hmr the other day with a rotary mag and it isnt the easiest thing to load so now im thinking that it may not be for me.

.22/.22wrm....got them for my grandsons while they were still embryos. Consecutive serial numbers, 2 of 450 Talos. They came with faux ivory grips but I had wooden ones made. They local guy that made them also made the display box.

Though I have 2 10/22, I have several Marlin Model 60s and the Marlin is my choice HANDS DOWN. Won my first one in the FFA in 1974 and have been a huge fan ever since. Brangus, do you remember the old Sunland School Plan magazine subscription sales we used to do?
