This is a little older project that i dint realize i had not uploaded.

I picked up this little 32 from a forum member about a year ago. I realized that it was project gun when I got it. It also made me fall in love with the little 32 Long caliber.

The cylinder had so much back and forth slop on the crane that sometimes the firing pin would not touch the primer. I made a crane stretcher and stretched the crane so that there was very little back and forth movement of the cylinder. That left a HUGE barrel cylinder gap that i will have to deal with later.

She had a great patina on her but a lot of pitting. Since there is no real collectors value to the pistol I thought, what the hey!

Sharps40 inspired me again and I set to cleaning up the pitting and trying my hand at rust bluing. Using Files and sandpaper, i cleaned up the pitting. I used Laurel forges browning solution and followed the instructions for bluing.

That came out pretty nice! Laurel works nice too. Easy to use on the first few projects as it has a degreaser built in.
