Just picked up a 3913 and am researching holster options. I noticed on one of the few that come up (Fobus which I don't want) it says their same model holster also fits the Sig P220/P226. In looking at pics I really don't see it, but does anyone know for sure if i can expand the search to ones that fit those as well or have suggestions of easy on/off (not removing belt) OWB options for the 3913?

I can think of a couple members that carry 3913/14s. @Prosecutor and @18DAI may have opinions to share.

I have a couple purpose-made leather holsters for these guns but haven’t used them. Mine have belt loops so they’re not ”quick on/off”. I’ll bet @chiefjason could make what you need. If he doesn’t have a blue gun, we can probably overcome that.

You made an excellent choice. :)

I would look into MTR delux quick snap. very secure with a good belt and holds tight to the body. much better than some other "Snap" holsters I have tried.

They don't list the 3913...but i suspect if you contact them they will help you out. They are in NC and might even let you bring the pistol in since they probably don't have a blue gun.

Personally I would not hesitate to have one made for a Kahr K9 or other pistol with similar dimensions (i usually get an open end so guns with similar dimensions but longer barrels can work). I haven't found that custom leather holsters are "that" specific to a make/model. Here are the dimensions: https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/blog/smith-wesson-3913-tsw-proven-performer/

Heck this is a pic of 3953 (DAO version of your pistol) in one of these rigs made for an HK VP9. I would use it in a heartbeat. tactical rolls and cartwheels...maybe not...going to brunch...no problem

Thanks. Semi-amusing unrelated story. I did a quick fieldstrip/clean/lube and thought I broke something when the trigger didn't work upon reassembly. After removing the slide about 5 more times I finally realized what the rest of you already knew....

Congrats on the 3913. Possibly the finest 9mm single stack carry gun made. By anyone. My friend Jeppo is correct. I carry one. On those days I carry a 9mm.

Being left handed AND carrying an out of print gun, I have searched for holsters. Ebay and Gunbroker have yeilded a few. Murphs holsters China Grove makes a belt slide for a Colt Defender which fits my 3913 like a glove. He use to do all the gunshows, back when we had gunshows. Greensboro Guns and Ammo stocks some of his holsters, but I don't recommend that shop.

As far as Kydex, I only have one. Made by Blade Tech and I don't 4hink they make it any longer. Watch Dog Tactical in Charlotte will make you a holster, but you will need to bring them the gun.

Don Hume made several nice 39XX series holsters and still has a few. I have a belt slide with sweat shield - H721 NO28-11.

And I have found that any holster for a 6906 will fit the 3913 as well. Non fitted leather holsters for a Sig 239 will work as well. Even some 5906 holsters will fit. And of course a few leather holsters for a compact 1911 fit too.

Good luck! It is well worth the search for such a fine carry gun. Hope this helps. Regards 18DAI

I just woke up, on duty till 7AM this morning, so I forgot the finest 3913 holsters made. Ken Null Holsters. Mr Null owns the patents from Seventrees.

Seventrees, owned by the late Paris Theodore, made the ASP pistol. Which is the "father" of the 39XX series pistols. S&W stole heavily from the ASP design and features when making the 3913.

Mr Null has several OWB and IWB designs for the 3913 series pistols. All of them used when alphabet agencies needed to conceal their ASP pistols. He is NOT inexpensive. But he makes the finest holsters I have ever purchased. Check out his website. Regards 18DAI

@18DAI
For perspective, how long have you carried 3913/14s?

Jeppo is my friend and I'm lucky to know him. So, theres one. ;)

Jeppo, I first started carrying 39XX series guns, off duty, in........2001....?.. Been using them ever since. As you know, I have a LNIB 3913NL inbound, which should be here Monday.

That pistol, will likely be my new carry/teaching pistol. Fine guns. And since I can't afford an original ASP, they will have to do. ;) Regards 18DAI

This is great information being left handed and owning a 3913 also.

Still looking through all the options posted. In the interim I ordered this from MTR as a starter.

I just saw this thread. Sorry.

Sig 239 leather holsters will usually work (well enough) for the Smith 39XX series pistols.

I have a few repurposed Sig 239 holsters. Ome is a Milt Sparks Executive Companion. My primary 39XX holsters come from TT Gunleather. I use the KX Lightweight and IWB Slim. Also, I recently had Watchdog Tactical here in Charlotte make a kydex appendix in-waist band holster for my 3953. It's nice.

Pretty sure a holster for a S&W 4040PD will work for a 3913. Just so happens I sold my 4040 a while back and have a very nice, not cheap, Milt Sparks Versa Max holster for it. if you have an interest in it let me know, otherwise I’ll probably tuck it back in holster bin in case a 4040 or 3913 ever follows me home again,

I really appreciate the offer and I'm guessing it would fit but I'm just not an IWB guy. Thanks though.

For holster selection purposes are the 3913 TSW and the 3913 Ladysmith the same (fit)?

Wild ass guess...

I’d say maybe no. The LS (and NL) have a tapered dust cover where the TSW is straight. If the holster were tightly fitted for a LS, perhaps the TSW would not fit properly. On the other hand, I’d suppose any 3913 would fit in a holster made for the TSW.

Also, some TSWs came with a rail.

Nice rig.

You're aware that isn’t just a 3913 but a 3913 LS or NL, right? They’re more valuable than the “standard” 3913.
Yes, just lazy in my typing. It's the NL. Really liked it at the range. Looking forward to being able to carry it now.

That’s like typing “I had a steak” when it was Kobe Beef. 😂

My favorite holster for my 3913 was a Don Hume 721 OWB. Man that thing was comfy and disappeared under a shirt.
