I recently bought the S&W 60-15 pro series .357 and wanted to know your thoughts on it. I have a decent IWB kydex I carry it in and it's pretty comfy but does anyone know of a good owb holster for it? Also, how does everyone feel.about the grips on it? Have you changed them out or kept what it came with? Any opinions on how you thought it handled on the range?

I'd also remove the lock, especially if this is a carry piece. One less thing to fail at a critical moment. Grips are person to person thing. What works for me, might not work for you. Eventually you'll wind up with a grip collection! šŸ˜‚

3" barrel J frame. Yeah I can do that.
Didn't realize you made them. Anywhere I can take s look at some od your options

Yeah, I read somewhere that the lock can lock itself while shooting. It's rare but it's happened. Also, I already have a set of slightly bigger grips coming in. šŸ˜†

IF you have Any plans of using it for Self Defense...remove that lock Immediately...we have had 3 J Frames lock up here in front of Numerous witnesses.
So I have other revolvers but this is the 1st one I've had with a lock on it. Is removing it something I can do with a quick YouTube search or better a gunsmith don't it?

If you are comfortable working on other S&W revolvers, you should be able to remove the lock no problem. YT university can be a great place to start. Watch a few videos, and decided if that's a job you would be comfortable doing. Quite a few of us on here work on them, so you might be able to find a member that lives near you to help out.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, and you can't find anyone nearby to do it for you. You can stop by my area, and I'll remove it for free.

Removing the locking mechanism is relatively easy-peasy. Doesn't leave a hole. Save the lock piece in the little plastic baggie that holds the keys for the lock. If I ever decided to sell the gun down the road, I would just drop the lever back in. Apologies in advance for the 70's porn soundtrack!

Sweet, thanks for the vid. I'll see what I can do with this probably this weekend.

For color options and other holsters the Etsy page linked above is the best place. I post a lot of pics on Instagram and Facebook too. Keep in mind I can pretty much make any holster for any of the guns I work with. And not all my guns are listed. And I donā€™t list a lot of iwb but have several options there too.

That's a beautiful holster. I will definitely check out your page.

Thank you so much. I'll watch a few vids and keep you updated on how it goes or if I even attempt to start on it.

This seems to be a really great group of people in here. Do any of you ever get together and shoot or coffee or both?

@Jeppo
Put the man on the list.

@Tom Glaz
We do lunches at different places about once a month. Jeff will hook you up to the one local to you.

Coffee's usually on around 5 AM. Porch is always open. This time of year you might want a hoodie or something to sit and watch the sun come up.

But it's a bit of a drive for a free cup of black coffee

Never too far for free cup of black coffee with a good porch view.

You have no idea how good some these folks are. Iā€™m kinda the exception since Iā€™m a Damn Yankee that doesnā€˜t drink sweat tea, accept that barbecue is a noun or fawn over chicken salad, but most other folks are good to go. šŸ˜†

That's sounds great. I'd love to meet some new people in the area. Thanks
We normally do lunches. In the WS/GS/HP area, we get together occasionally and rotate venues as tastes dictate. Thereā€™s also a group that meets the first Friday of each month at a joint in the greater Charlotte area. If you keep an eye on the link below, youā€™ll know when get togethers are planned.

Great info! I'm in the Kernersville area so I'm right in the middle. Ill.keep an eye out on that link. Thank
