Damn, I've spent a lot of time in that water 😳.

I know coming over the water in helicopters you can see sharks off the beaches around Onslow Beach and Bear Island.

Don't know what she could be there for, I know for sure there's no fish in that water.

During Shark Week I watched a show about shark attacks in sounds and tributaries. Storms at sea drive bait fish inland, with sharks following. People are just food of opportunity.

But something like this, I've no idea. A single fish inland seems unusual.

well, Wednesday there were lots near the Surf City Pier.
spent $25 on Gotcha plugs because of cut-offs.
did not see any sharks, though.

When I vacationed at Emerald Isle, a couple of us would charter a boat out of Swansboro and fish right where she is. I have fished that area several times before.

Dang, I’ve been right there several times in a kayak not much bigger than the shark.

I brought a 4’ shark, unknown species, up to the kayak near the head of Oyster Creek (east of Beaufort) last year and he got off right at the boat.
