Driving around in SC yesterday on some dirt roads, that are actually sand... had recently rained and the road was a little mushy. My friend is telling me how the stuff gets like a sheet of ice basically, at the same time, we start sliding a little. I was driving easy, 15mph tops, thinking wet sandy roads are slick..... who would have thought?!

sure as hell, as he’s telling me about it, we basically hydroplane, just started sliding to the left and went right into the deep a** ditch that’s probably 2’ deep of sandy oatmeal.

the truck wouldn’t pull out onto the road and I could reach out the window and touch the rocks on the bank, that’s how bad we were leaning. Put it in 4lo, locker the rear end and drove it 100 yards out of the ditch through that deep thick sandy mud. I’m stoked how well this truck did. My friend was pissed, “I CANT BELIEVE YOU GOT US STUCK!” Lol

the frontier is a beast!
And S.C. roads suck. That’s all.

If you think SC has some slick ass roads, drop on down to GA and experience the patented, only in GA, "Gumbo Mud"......

It's explained this way, take one step and you'll have a half inch of mud on your boot sole. Take another step and there' a full inch, on the 3rd step you're now up to 1.5", I'm sure you get the idea by now. Walk across the road after a summer shower and you too can be 6'3"..... Don't ask how I know this...

I think some of that made its way to Anson County.

*FAKE NEWS*. Your truck is too clean! =]

When I go to my lease in SC, I usually come back looking like I've driven through a babies diaper. Clay, sand, small trees, the occasional small critter...covered bow to stern and keel to mast.

That’s cus I didn’t have to spin lol If I have new tires on it when I go back I’ll probably get a little dirtier

I cleaned it off this morning there was so much dried mud inside the wheel it threw off the balance it was making the steering wheel wobble pretty bad.
And you thought I was just being smart-eleck-y with my informational video?!

Couple years ago some buddies and I rented an Escalade to go camping in Big Bend National Park. I’m cruising down I-10 at about 90ish and the steering wheel feels like it’s gonna fall off it’s shaking so bad. We pull over and check out the vehicle and one of my buddies notices the inside of the rear wheels have thick dried mud caked on them. We took a knife and chipped it all off and it was good as new.

I took a Mercury Sable rental through the northwoods of Maine back in the late 80's or early 90's. I forget what it cost extra but I had a big time.

Our dirt roads are slick, but our paved roads are absolutely the worst and roughest in the country. Its go so bad around here, the tire shops are not giving a warranty with front end alignments
