I had fun making this one. The handle is unique in that the images are layers repeated numerous times from the same pattern. The oil on the blade is causing a little glare. The blade is dipped in ferric acid and then wiped with a scotch brite pad just enough to give it some character.

Thanks. It feels really good in hand and it does take a keen edge.

You should be banned unless you stop posting these things without prices!!! :p:D
All kidding aside, you make some nice looking blades.

Thanks! That’s funny.
I may try to put a few up for sale. I like making the knives better than the sheaths so typically I’ll make three or four and then make the sheaths.

Looks good. I've noticed watching Forged in Fire that those type scales seem very brittle. Do you think they will hold up to rough use?

Looks like the perfect size to slice my finger open with....Congrats on the work. It looks great! It always seems to mean more when you did it yourself.

Not sure what material you are referring to o FIF. I’ve seen them use a type of plastic (the name escapes me right now) that broke a few times.
I would liken this to more of a paper micarta type material.
As far as holding up I think it would be fine as long as it’s not abused. I don’t think it would hold up if it were kept submerged or kept wet frequently. But for all around use I think it would be ok.
