I have a scope I love (Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 1.5-5) but the reticle is for 300 BO which I’ve gotten away from.
    Would most folks:
    - keep and adjust as necessary for 223
    - try to trade for similar
    - sell and buy new
Unfortunately it’s a discontinued model so I can’t get a new direct replacement or it would be an easier choice for me.

Have you checked with the Leupold custom shop about a reticle change?

Didn’t know there was such a thing. Off to research now, thanks.

Edit - that might take a while. Below is what their site says. I’ll subscribe for a bit.

We are in the process of restructuring the Custom Shop in order to refine and improve our services. As a result, we are not accepting any new custom scope or retrofit orders at this time. To keep up to date with the status of the Leupold Custom Shop, please sign up below:

I've heard the price was going up for the service but I'm not sure how much. I want to say it used to be $60.

Thanks again. Hopefully I hear back from them and I’ll just use as is for a while.

I just looked at the reticle.

For any new rifle non-300blkout, zero at 50yds on the 200yd sonic BDC stadia line.

    And you will be fine.

When able confirm at 200yds with the 200yd sonic BDC stadia line.

The competitive shooters over on the usrifleteams forum reported that that $60 price was valid if you placed the order with the custom shop to build you a new scope. If you sent them an existing scope to have your reticle swapped the price was $150-$225, which was labor dependent.
