Well, I almost feel a bit bad for how the following deal worked out in my favor. Almost 
Here's my best score of the year by far for 2019 ... a.k.a. "how to get paid to take home a VEPR FM-AK74."
A few years ago, I picked up a plain Jane AK for $300 from a guy in serious need of fast cash. Fast forward to a month ago, when I won a few hundred dollars betting on horses at the casino. I tucked away those winnings and decided to hunt for another 5.45 AK. By crazy luck, I stumbled across a local guy selling his FM to fund another 7.62 project, and I tossed a low-ball offer at him - my old AK and a few hundred dollars cash. Holy hell, folks. He swung for it, and somehow I hit the home run. Fast forward to this week, when I finally brought this bad boy home:
With the money I won at the casino, this gun was free. At a time when these are selling for $1,700+, that seems like a mighty good deal.
No intention of flipping this despite the crazy bass ackwards market for AKs right now. Instead, I'm gonna take it to the range and beat the snot out of it alongside its now totally unlonely Russian big brother. Za zdaróvye!
Anyone else unearth any solid deals recently?
