Somewhere along the line I though there was a law that prohibited the sale of weapons to terrorist? And there was a big time prison sentence attached to that.
Soooo wouldn't ole jo be guilty of 'selling or giving weapons to terrorist???? Wonder if he did a bill of sale and ensured they had a matching DL and Permit.

I suppose another case of, you do as I say NOT as I DO. Bunch of Donkey DOO DOO is what it is.
 
well of course we didn't sell them to the terrorists. we sold them to the ANA and police and everybody else.
the fact that the organizations were predicted to fall apart, would no doubt surrender their weapons to the terrorists, and are full of people with conflicting allegiances. but we sold to the organization, not the terrorists.

i don't see how it could be any more simple than that...
 
Even if this were an example of that, it doesn't matter. We're not a nation of laws anymore, we're a nation of men. Whatever you can get away with is OK as long as you have the firepower to back it up, be that the courts or court directed thugs with guns.

You have nailed the main issue. And it may take months or years, but at some point this will likely come to a head and reach a terrible conclusion. For some.

I'm not sure in what way. Tyrants gotta tyrant, and the rest of us have to keep our heads down lest we be made an example of.

For the most part. But eventually most tyrants go too far, and someone rises up and goes ape shit crazy. And then people die. Tyrant might win, but people do eventually fight back.

Going to be a long ass time before we're beating the crown's troops out of RDU and collecting those sweet, sweet M4s.

Might take decades. Or days. Us little people have no clue. I’d bet some dude in Soviet controlled Eastern Europe couldn’t have foreseen the changes for better and worse they would experience in the last 50 years or so.

FIFY. We had officers whose job it was to carry around rucksacks filled with money for the ANA to provide fuel, food and ammunition for them. It was kept by their top brass and they were sent begging back to us before missions. We then had to source all of that for them AGAIN, before we could leave. Seen it happen too many times! The money spent by them was now laundered and came back to corporate who then passed a cut along to our elected officials. We the taxpayers are again the losers!
